World series preview DET v SF

Detroit's season brings upon an interesting observation. As a fan of the White Sox, all during spring training we heard of the all might Tigers. They had a stacked batting lineup with the likes of Fielder and Cabrera. Their pitching was led by Ace Justin Verlander and had good arms to follow with Scherzer and Fister. They seemed destined to not only play in October, but deep into the playoffs. Then as they staggered out of the gates, we waited for them to show up. The concern was always, "When would Detroit put it together" and run away with the division. Month after month those days did not come. Finally, as the season was nearing its final month the Tigers overtook the Sox to claim first place with a few weeks left. It was a rough journey, but when looked back in the history books it will give a different light. The Tigers were AL Central Winner, had a Triple Crown Winner, and possible Cy Young winner.  The momentum that may have existed during the season does not matter once the Post Season starts. As we have seen countless times before come October it is anyone's game. With Detroit finally hitting their stride, San Francisco will have their hands full. With their never say die attitude or inability to lose a decisive game, we are in for hopefully a heck of a World Series.

Detroit wins series 4-2
